Windows 10: How safe is it to rollback release 2004?

A couple of days ago MS pushed me real hard to upgrade to 2004. In my naivety I assumed that it being rolled out months ago would have the worst bugs fixed now.
I upgraded my desktop PC without any problems, so I proceeded to upgrade my laptop as well. Unfortunately, after a while I could enjoy the view of the looping "undoing changes". Long story short: I couldn't move forward nor backward, and the only solution was to do a clean install, and re-install all my software. (Data was safe in multi-level backups.) Re-installing isn't so bad, the problem is reconfiguring: it would take a full day to have everything right again. Ultimately the laptop is fine again. All's well that ends well.

Which is not what I can say about my desktop PC. 2004 must be the least stable and most bug-ridden software I've ever seen. Google 2004 bugs and I've encountered them all. Forced reboots: 5 per day on average.
So, I want to rollback to 1903. But I'm worried. If this doesn't go well, I'll have to re-install far more programs than on my laptop (again, no worries about data), and it could take a full week to make sure everything is set up properly again. Which I don't want.

I'd like to know if anyone is aware of reports of fatal errors rolling back 2004 to 1903.

BSOD on power wakeup - Windows 10 2004

The only method to nearly guarantee a rollback is a backup image.
That is step #1.
It allows a restore to the time in which the image is made.
Running the above commands should not prevent a rollback.

Windows automatically deletes Windows.old after the 10 day.
Whether a rollback can be made is unknown.
It is in some respects similar to a restore point: they may or may not work when you need them.

Is it Safe Now to Update to 2004?

Been hearing a lot of negative feedbacks about 2004, so I've been putting off installing the update.
