    Windows 10 upgrade - Error 0x8007042b - 0x4000D

    Hi,

I got several problems like my microsoft store not downloading I've tried everything on internet and other stuff, so since I think it may come from my windows, I'd like to "repair" it with the media creation tool, so I tried to upgrade it with it to not lose any data in the process, but after ages of update it gives me this error.

    Windows 10 upgrade - Error 0x8007042b - 0x4000D 0d971157-a95d-4f05-9cb1-0538ac71e93e?upload=true.jpg

Here are the logs I've seen people ask to other questions !

    I really hope someone can help Windows 10 upgrade - Error 0x8007042b - 0x4000D :D

    Greetings
    GD

PS : I already tried the "easy" things like the media tool or the update assistant, can anybody just check my logs and try to find exactly what the problem was ?

    :)

    Windows 10 upgrade 1909 to 2004 failed with error 0x8007042b - 0x4000D

So, I still get the same error message after the rollback: Error 0x8007042b - 0x4000D The installation failed in the SECOND_BOOT phase with an error during MIGRATE_DATA operation

    performed the following:

    1. all windows features turned off (as advised above)
    2. clean boot per https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows
    3. attempted the upgrade using media creation tool
a new set of logs uploaded here: https://1drv.ms/u/s!Akui4acu0VPSiCowe_3DzvJCYuAw?e=XBgWf8

    any advise?

    Thanks,

    AZY.

    Windows 10 upgrade 1909 to 2004 failed with error 0x8007042b - 0x4000D

    Hi,

I've been trying to upgrade my Windows 10 installation (1909 to 2004), and having tried a lot of things without success It always rolls back the upgrade with the following error message:

Error 0x8007042b - 0x4000D The installation failed in the SECOND_BOOT phase with an error during MIGRATE_DATA operation

Regular Windows updates for 1909 works properly and I get updated as needed. In my attempts to perform the upgrade I've been trying everything I could including:

    1. run DISM and SFC commands to fix corruptions (there aren't any)
    2. remove softwaredistribution folder
    3. remove Avast AV
    4. perform clean boot
    5. perform upgrade from media creation tool

I really need some help to investigate the log files to determine the root cause as reinstalling without apps will be extremely painful in my case. I've prepared the following files and can share directly with any advisor who will be willing to take a look
(if more are needed I can provide):

    • Setupact.log and Setuperr.log from the following path C:\$Windows.~BT\Sources\Panther
    • Setupact.log and Setuperr.log from the following path C:\$Windows.~BT\Sources\Rollback

    Thanks in advance,

    AZY

    Windows 10 upgrade - Error 0x8007042b

    Hello,

As with many users, I'm encountering the same issue when trying to upgrade my PC to 1909 from 1803. I used the Windows 10 Media Creation tool to create an ISO and mount it virtually, then executing the update. I've disabled all external antiviruses, and
even use the Malwarebytes Removal tool to scrub Malwarebytes from my system. I've ran sfc /scannow and DSIM online image repair in safe mode. The update still continues to fail. Any help would be much appreciated.

This is the thread I followed to try to read the logs, but I really don't know what to look for:
