  1. Adobe acrobat and Microsoft pdf printers are not showing

I am working on windows 10 and am using Revit.

When I go to print, there is no option for Adobe acrobat or Microsoft print to pdf.

I think I removed the Microsoft one by accident because it did not have a print in A2 option.??

I have reinstalled Adobe acrobat as the default but it still does not show as a print option!!

I have been through all the ways of trying to get them back, but my skills are a bit lacking.

    Can anyone help. please.

    :)

Unable to print a Microsoft Edge webpage to PDF using adobe acrobat

Adobe reader is of no value when printing to PDF. Adobe acrobat is correctly installed.

PDF's print from Adobe Acrobat to external printers

The problem is with the plugin Adobe uses for Acrobat and my understanding is that Microsoft will not accept the old plugin for security reasons. Microsoft advice seems to be use Internet Explorer if you want to use Adobe acrobat to print to PDF.

The problem with the "Microsoft Print to PDF" is that it is very slow and cannot cope with large documents.

I principal reason for upgrading to Windows 10 was that Internet Explorer has too many issue [frequent freezing amongst them] so upgrading and finding print to PDF issues with Edge is a big disappointment.

It seems to me, the solution needs Adobe to change their Acrobat plugin but the reading Adobe forums does not suggest that is likely for Acrobat 10 [the version I have.]

    Hi,

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community.

I appreciate your interest on Windows 10.

Before we proceed I would like you to answer the following question:

    • Which version of PDF printer driver is running on the computer?

The issue might occur due to some corruption in the driver.

I suggest you to follow the methods below:

    Method 1:

Try to manually install the Adobe PDF printer.

    a. Press Windows key + X and select Control Panel.

    b. Select Device and printer.

    c. Select Add a printer.

    d.Select Add a local printer.

e.Check Use an existing port and select Documents\*.pdf (Adobe PDF) from the drop down. Click Next

    f.Click the Have Disk… button.

    g.Click the Browse… button.

    h.Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 10.0\Acrobat\Xtras\AdobePDF

i.Select AdobePDF.inf from the list if using Acrobat Pro, or AdobePDFstd.inf if using Acrobat Std, then click the OK button

j.You will see many Adobe PDF Converters in the list, however count six down from the top and click Next (you may need to try this numerous times to find the correct Converter from the list that works with your version of Windows)

k.Name your printer, e.g. Adobe PDF

    Method 2:

Refer to the following article and check.

    https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/troubleshoot-pdf-printing-acrobat-reader.html

Adobe acrobat and Microsoft pdf printers are not showing

Unable to print a Microsoft Edge webpage to PDF using adobe acrobat

I just upgraded to Windows 10

Now I find I cannot print to PDF using Adobe Acrobat, or CutePDF, from Microsoft Edge although both printers are in the list of printers for Microsoft Edge.

I know from the Adobe community that this is a common problem and Adobe don't offer a solution

    Advice please!
