  1. Unable to connect to a Miracast-supporting TV

I can't seem to make any of my Windows 10 laptops screen clone to my Samsung Q50R TV.

    I tried two options:

1 TV already supports Miracast. So I just went to Connect -> selected my TV and tried to connect to it. For a second there was a circle spinning on TV saying "Connecting to <my name>". And then it disappeared and a message popped up on TV saying "Failed to connect". Restarting my TV, my computer, updating TV firmware, installing all Windows updates didn't help same result. Making sure the TV and computer were on the same network didn't help. Making sure they were on different networks didn't help either.

2 I bought a Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter. The result is basically the same. Except it says "Failed to pair with <my name>".

Now, I thought it was my TV's problem. However, I downloaded a miracast app for my iphone, and I am able to screencast from the phone perfectly. So it's definitely windows.

Neither of my 2 laptops personal surface book 2 and work dell something can connect to either of my Miracast enabled TV's.

Very disappointing. I was planning to screencast to my TV and use my new MS game controller, and now I can't. I am just going to go crazy in quarantine and it will be all MS fault.

    :)

  3. Unable to project to Miracast TV

My Dell Laptop is windows 10 (upgraded from 8.1). It does not support Miracast and hence I am unable to project screen to conference rooms having Miracast enabled TVs. What device i can attach to my laptop to be able to cast my screen to miracast TVs.

Unable to connect to a Miracast-supporting TV

    Does Miracast support 4K?

    Hello,

We suggest that you check with the manufacturer of the 4k display device that you are using if it is certified to work with Miracast. If your display device is certified to work with Miracast, then check if your PC device supports Miracast. You may do so
    by following the steps below:

    • Click Start, then go to Settings >
      Projecting to this PC
      .
    • Check if your device supports Miracast.

    Regards.
