Windows 10: Mystery blank window with blue F-icon in alt-tab view appears at random

I have a problem that I have searched for hours on to no avail.


At what seems to be at random, this blue/white F-icon window will appear in the Alt-Tab little windows. It doesn't appear to link to anything and I can only get rid of it by closing it while holding the Alt-tab view using the corner X.


I cannot find anything on it via image or content searches and wonder if i have picked up malware?


I don't store much on my computer, use predominantly external drives, and am happy to reset it or whatever is best, especially as I had a few blue screens during online file submissions, but thought I'd see if this may be causing my problems first.


Anyone seen this before and know where it comes from or if I can get rid of it?


P.S. the background of the Alt-tab view is me just searching the image to see if I can figure it out.

I would suggest you to hover the mouse on that blue earth icon to know the name of the application.

If you are able to identify that application name then, I suggest you to check if that application is present in the
Programs and Features. Follow the below steps:

• Right click on the Start button and select Control Panel from the list.
• Click on Programs and Features.
• Check if that application is present.

Also, check if that application is present in the Apps & features from the following steps:

• Press Windows + I keys from the Keyboard to open the
  Settings.
• Click on System and click on Apps & features from the left pane.
• Check if that application is present.

alt + tab not working

Just found a really cool way to make alt+tab INSTANT!!!

In the launch options write the following: -windowed -noborder





This play exactly the same as fullscreen but now you dont have to wait 30 f*@!ing seconds to alt+tab back in!

Also you don't get the little purple/black checkered effect (only in Source games) from alt+tabbing in fullscreen.
