    Windows 10 1909 2004

    Asus strix 1080 TI

    Asus gaming motherboard.

    Netgear with driver A6210_V1.0.0.39

    250Mb UL DL


    For the last 7-10 months my browsers have been running extremely slow. Everything is happening at a snail pace and things that are instant on my phone takes up to 10-20 seconds on my main computer. It is not my hardware.


    If i install a new browser it can be fine for the first 10 min

    When i installed my Netgear drivers and application for A6210 it was fine for a little while

    If i reset my network settings its fine for a while then get goes back to snail pace.

    If i flush my dns and so on its fine for a bit.


    Today my browser had been running slow as usual and after i opened Microsoft edge suddenly everything is running fast. It lasted about 5 minutes. Everything including Edge is now running very very slow.

    Besides that this 2004 version drops the internet for no reason every so often.

    Reinstalling windows and running completely clean i have the same issue. Its essentially driving me crazy.

    Running your Browser in a VM?

    • Install VMware Player or Virtualbox, VMware being faster in my experience
    • Create a VM with sufficent RAM HD and all CPU cores
    • Install Ubuntu/Linux Mint/Debian or some lightweight distro with Xcfe or LXDE
    • Install VMware/Virtualbox tools
    • Almost any distro comes with Firefox
    • Install Ublock Origin/Noscript/Ghostery
    • Disable cookies with a whitelist/use private browsing.
    In my experience, running a browser through a VM can slow down scrolling smoothness, video playback and increase ping delay
