    Virus and Threat protection update says engine unavailable and will not update, help??


    One day i decided to get on my computer because i was really bored, once i got on some websites were blocked and wouldnt let me get in because of a IP error. I tried factory resets, restarting my computer, changing my dns cache, trying to restart my windows defender nothing is working or has worked. I have restarted my router many times and at this point im close to calling my laptop recycled. If there is a solution to this I would like to know ASAP, I have school and I cant miss another class

    virus & threat protoction not turning on.

    my windows defender virus & threat protection has a cross sign over it I want to turn it on. what should I do ? when I click on load updates it says engine unavailable

    virus and threat protection

    Virus and threat protection has stopped and will not restart, Windows 10 ver 1709, antimalware client ver 4.12.16299.15 . SuperAntiSpyware installed.

    I have tried most of the suggestions from the support pages, all have been ineffective. Any suggestions

    NOTICE: After, installing 1909 update, Windows Defender, Virus and Threat protection, is / was "OFF". IS this common? Is this a bug? NO MESSAGE appeared in my Notification Area.. ONLY, by chance, did I notice, and turn it back on. I'd suggest.. AT
    ALL TIMES.. 'WHENEVER' MY virus protection is turned off.. BY DEFAULT... I 'SHOULD' BE NOTIFIED! YOUR thoughts on this?
