Windows 10: Main PC USB not recognizing my Sony A7Rii Camera but does on my laptop?

Yo, I attempted yesterday with my own research for the past 72 hours. I recently came from Win7 and installed Win10 on my PC and I’m attempting to get my camera to be recognized by my program I’m using via SONY called “Imaging Edge” the desktop version.

It worked on my CPU as while Win7 & it works now on my laptop but for some reason I cannot get it on my PC now with 10!!!

I made the notice to look at device manager and notice the device is getting seen in "other devices" with a caution sign like this image -> https://imgur.com/3qgWBSi

On the laptop (which works) the device under the device manager>portable devices>properties ; shows this image-> https://i.imgur.com/hTgfIiC.png

Same USB cables and all, will answer any questions& upvote to those who attempt to help. I truly believe it's a driver issue.

• doing all available updates
• uninstalling the programs and readding & restarting before use
• other USB cords & ports
• watching videos
• checking forums
• uninstalling device
• uninstalling root hub usbs

USB 2.0 compatability on Sony Vaio

Great. I just spent 1/2 hour composing a message and kept seeing "Auto Saved" keep popping up, but my hand slipped, don't know what I did, but was left with the 2 pics above, lost everything I had typed, and don't see how to bring back what was auto saved, so going with short version of issue:

• I have 3-USB ports, inside colored blue, 1 HDMI, and 1 SD card reader
  • Are all 3 USB ports 3.0?
  • Is that confirmed by the blue coloring?
  • How can I tell in Device Manager?
• Does USB 3.0 back-read 2.0?
  • Seems logical that it would, but I have a device (webcam) that, when plugged in, is sometimes recognized, but the camera app cannot run it, that it needs additional permissions but won't let me give them (yes, logged in as admin). Have tried to update drivers (says all current), FixIt, re-boot, etc. Nothing works. Sometimes it is not recognized at all.
  • Is this a typical MS money grab to force new purchases/upgrades?

how to connect sony dsc h300 camera to windows 10 laptop

Hi, I have Lenovo G505 laptop on windows10. When it was on win 8.1, Sony dsc h300 camera used to be recognized immediately after it was connected to laptop. After upgrading to win10, I connected camera to laptop for first time. However this time camera
is not showing as connected. In the camera, on the screen ' USB mode connecting Switch on (Menu) ' message is continuously appearing. In the menu of camera, I switched on USB mode also. Any help please.

Sorry to hear you are having trouble with your camera. Could you give us some more information on your Sony Vaio? Could you tell us your Sony Vaio model and camera? Is this a integrated camera or usb? When you say it's 'not working' does that mean the camera
doesn't work in the Windows Camera app? Or another app like Skype? Do you get an error?
