Windows 10: Camera not working Privacy settings error

Hi,

I have a lenovo 1507 laptop. Recently i have been facing issues with my camera application. Whenever I open my camera I get an error



"we need your permission to use this app open privacy setting and change the settings to allow the app to use your camera and microphone"


I have checked everything,I opened the privacy setting and and so that all the necessary permissions were on for the camera application including the other apps which uses the camera.


I also took help of Microsoft assistant who checked everything and she suggested for uninstalling of the camera and reinstalling which was done and in spite of that the camera still not working.


camera has become very important in today's covid world because of the online classes and everything.



it is really frustrating to see that I am not able to use the camera and there is no option available for me to check.


any help on this matter will be very useful.

settings to see if the camera access is turned on. Kindly follow the steps below to check the camera privacy settings:

• Press the Windows key + I to open the Settings app.
• Near the top of the Settings app window is the search box, kindly type the word "webcam" or "camera".
• From the list of results choose Camera privacy settings.
• Make sure that "Let apps use my camera" toggle is set to On.

Camera and Microphone Privacy

This issue occurs due to permission issue, driver issue, license for an app is out of sync with the license installed on the computer or if the app is not updated. To give permission to Camera and Microphone app, you may follow
these steps:

• Go to Settings.
• Select Privacy.
• Look for Camera, make sure that “Let apps use my camera” is turned On. You may choose the apps that can use your camera as well.
• Go back to Privacy and select Microphone, make sure that “Let apps use my microphone” is turned On. You may choose the apps that can use your microphone as well.

Windows 10 Camera APP Privacy Error

Every time I open the windows 10 camera app, it tells me it needs my permission & to open privacy settings and allow the app to use my camera. But when I go to the privacy setting page the camera app is not listed. So I went to app & features to try and
uninstall it but when i click the remove button nothing happens.

Any suggestion to what might be the issue.
