Windows 10: Miracast/wireless display receiver

I have a microsoft wireless display adapter v2. But now on windows (if your laptop/pc support it) it have also a miracast receiver buid in baked in the os. But on the wireless display adapter v2 sometimes cant keep up and sometimes it is smooth as it should be. But what is better as a receiver? Is a laptop a better way as receiver and i replace the laptop with it or should i keep the wireless display adapter? I dont know if a laptop have a better range of it. By the way i gonna try it anyway. The test of it is my huawei matebook x pro from 2018 as receiver and my lenovo thinkpad t480 as sender/sink.
