Windows 10: VEVOR CNC 3018-PRO 3 Axis CNC Router Kit - Offline Controller - plugged into USB - no COM...

I just purchased the above CNC Router, and it came with an offline controller and USB cable that is used to plug into the PC. the Candle software then uses the COM number to load the CNC Plans to the controller.


the issue I have is when i plug it into my PC, Win 10 is treating it as a USB Drive - and assigning it a drive letter, and opening windows explorer. because it does not have a COM number, I am unable to use the software to create carving projects.


is there any setting type i can change, or a workaround to where the PC see's it as a COM port vs a drive letter? i am going to buy a different USB cable to see if it helps.


I have been searching for 3 days, and have not found any help on what to do, so I thought i would ask the big brains :

3D Builder and CNC Router apps manuals

This is an interesting little program that popped up when I opened a file I had been working with. I found it interesting enough to play with. I see potential for use with CNC Routing as well as 3D printing.

I came here looking for the answer to one simple question: How does one resize the Y axis. I had no problem doing so with the X axis. But for the life of me I cannot figure out the Y.

Nothing against the guy doing the videos, but they freeze up after about 3-4 seconds.

Such a shame that program with so much potential has no users manual and therefore many will find it a waste of time.

Any help would be appreciated.

Plug in the device and run the hardware troubleshooter. Once this is done, restart the computer to check if this helps.
