Windows 10: Bluetooth disconnecting intermittently

    Bluetooth disconnecting intermittently


    Yesterday I updated my bluetooth drivers on my pc and ever since then, my computer has intermittently made the "device disconnect" sound every 5-30 minutes. I checked event viewer and every time I hear the sound, there appears a log that says:

    "Windows cannot store Bluetooth authentication codes (link keys) on the local adapter. Bluetooth keyboards might not work in the system BIOS during startup."

    I've tried all of the following:

    - re-installing all of my bluetooth drivers

    - Rolling back drivers

    - restarting/shutting down my computer

    - disallowing the computer to "turn off device to save power"

    I've seen this problem elsewhere on the internet but none of them have a clear solution that I was able to follow.

    How to disconnect and reconnect bluetooth devices in Windows 10?

    Hi Melody,

    Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community. We understand the inconvenience caused and will assist you.

    I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and check if it helps.

    • Pair the Bluetooth device to the system.
    • Right click on the Speaker icon in the System tray and select
      Playback Devices.
    • Select the device and click on the drop down list next to Set default button.
    • Select the option to connect and disconnect from the device.

    surface dock ethernet disconnects intermittently

    Hi This is my second Surface Dock (connected to Surface Book) The first one intermittently lost connection to my monitor. After many attempts to remedy I ended up solving the problem by replacing it.

    The replacement is working ok with my monitor but now the Ethernet disconnects intermittently. Hopefully I don't have another faulty dock. Any suggestions?

    Bluetooth disconnecting intermittently

    Streaming music on bluetooth disconnects wifi


    Having upgraded form 8.1 to Windows 10 I now find that streaming music on bluetooth disconnects wifi. It does this every time within a few minuets. (Bluetooth and Adapter drivers are up to date.) I have changed the virgin super hub from channel 1 to 12 but problem remains)
    Any suggestions?
