Uninstalling on Windows 10 Freezes half way through and takes around 6 minutes

All applications when being uninstalled seem to take around 5 minutes, the installation for these apps took less than 1 minute.

Also the uninstall dialog box says 3 seconds to go, or 10, or 17 etc and it takes another 5 minutes after that before finally the unistall has finished. The task manager is showing 0 % of all CPUs for this process, so what is it doing ?

This happens on all apps. No I dont want to reset me computer, install all the latest updates, check the event log for failures etc. As I have done this already. Can you give me a piece of software to profile this process so I can see what it is doing, or tell me how to monitor a verbose debug log or something ?

I've also tried cutting the network connection, as I can imagine the process I am trying to uninstall is probably uploading as much as it can to its master, so is this due to the app being uninstalled refusing to be killed ?

    :)

  2. How do you uninstall chipset drivers?

I'm installing a new mobo so I need to uninstall the intel 865g drivers to make way for the P35 drivers.

Can't find any uninstall options in add/remove programs and intel chipset inst listed in driver cleaner.

Any suggestions? *Confused Uninstalling on Windows 10 Freezes half way through and takes around 6 minutes

  3. Borderlands freezes and thaws

I'm positive the steps I took above fixed it. I went through 10 rounds in the underdome (well over an hour of gameplay) without a single freeze. Previously, I couldn't play 15 minutes without at least one freeze.
