Windows 10: How do I change my Microsoft administrator email attached to PC?

Hello, I'm trying to switch my Microsoft email for my PC because I don't use the other one that's attached. But it seems like I can't remove the primary email that's attached, only able to add new MSA and remove them. I just don't want this email to be attached to my PC. Is there any way to change the email?

Hello Allan,

To attach a document file on an email, you can follow the step given below:

For Windows 10 Mobile:

• Launch to File Explorer app.
• Press and hold the file that you need to attach on the email, and select
  Share button.
• Select Outlook Mail on the suggested applications.

For Windows Phone 8.1:

• Download and install
  Files app.
• Launch Files app.
• Tap and hold the document that you need to attach on the email, and select
  Share button.
• Select the Mail app on the suggested applications.

Change Microsoft Account Details in Administrator Account

It's quite easy in fact, simply switch the account in question first to a local account, then switch back to a Microsoft account, this time using your wife's MS account credentials.

Notice that before doing this you need to remove the new additional MS account on the PC, the one you created with her credentials. Windows allows only one user account for each email address, if the new account exists you cannot switch the original administrator account to an MS account using the same email address. Change administrator email

Hi Andrea,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

You can just provide the Administrator privileges to your personal Microsoft account from your current Admin account (work email ID). To do so follow these steps.

• Press Windows Key, Type manage your account
  and hit Enter.
• Click on Family and Other Users.
• Select the account that you wish to change to Admin account.
• You'll get an option to Change account type. Click on it and change it to
  Administrator.

If you wish to sign out from the Microsoft account, follow these steps:

• Press Windows Key, Type manage your account
  and hit Enter.
• Click on Your account tab.
• One the right side, you'll see an option to Sign-in with a local account instead.
• Click on it and enter your password to make changes.
• Follow the onscreen instructions to create a local account.
