Windows 10: REPLACED PRINTER, STILL GET DLL. MSG THAT COMPUTER CAN'T FIND IT

I replaced printers, deleted old one, but still get a dll. msg about old computer. that it can't find it. That 'cuz I deleted it. get this msg on startup. Win 8.1 or 10, not sure.

hp printers have the most expensive ink of all printers, the most economical is cannon and epson so i suggest if you looking to keep costs down look at those brands.

that being said it may not have the best print quality if it uses less costly ink.

if keeping cost down is the most important then shop in reverse, find a brand that has cheap replacement ink cartridges then see what printers they are used on. then from that list look to see if you like any of those printers and if they are affordable to you, if not then select another ink cartridge and look at the printers that those are used on. this method will give you the most affordable printer and the cheapest cost of replacement ink.

I am sorry to know that you are having issues with Printer.

What and all steps have you tried so far?

Restart the computer and check.

Also, check for Windows updates.

I suggest you to run the Printer Troubleshooter and check if it helps.

  In Search window type Troubleshooting and click on it to open it.

  Click on Hardware and Sound.
  
• 
  Then click on Printer to run the troubleshooter. Follow onscreen steps.
  

 

Re Port in use msg when trying to use printer

Thanks for reply. I have windows 7 and a Lenovo laptop computer. The problem began after installing new Canon printer 5100 series. Printer connected wirelessly.

The entire msg is "port in use" followed by error msg in print queue box and printer not responding.

In Printers abd faxes there is listed

CanonMB5100 series printer

Fax and Microsoft XPS Document Writer.
