Windows 10: Windows 10 Search option isn't opening.

Yesterday, i dont know how it happened, but search option isnt opening anymore. By that i mean im clicking on the search icon on the task bar and it isnt doing anything. And for like 5 hrs now total, ive tried to fix it by trying a lot of different methods, troubleshooting, some powershell command thingies, restarting file explorer, running sfc /scannow and other stuff i cant even remember anymore. Then there was also this one post i saw and basically i think that im just missing SearchUI.exe and well, someone had the file uploaded on that site and i downloaded it and when i tried to put it in the file they took it from, i didn't have it, it was something like C:/Windows/SystemApps/Microsoft.Cortana..... and well, i dont have that folder.

Another thing to add is that the search function works on administrator account, but not on this sub-account im using.

One option i also saw, was to make a new account, but i dont want to do that option, because that would mean a lot of setupping.

Id really like some help with this.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Printer isn´t working after latest update.

After the latest update from Windows, my Canon Pixma ip6600 printer isnt working. In Device Manager it shows up as working properly but when I go to print it isn´t listed as an option in any programs. Troubleshoot suggests it´s a USB 2 printer on a USB
3 port and that that´s the problem but that cant be since it worked fine before the update. I´ve tried to uninstall and plug it back in but that doesn´t work either.

 

Windows 10 download speed issues

Try this method:

• First of all from Start Menu, open Settings (Type settings in the search bar and it will appear).
• locate and select “Update and Security“.
• in this window, Locate “Advanced Options”. Click on it.
• In Advanced Options; Click on “Choose How Updates are Delivered“.
• Turn off Updates from more than one place.

Your system will not work as a seeder for other Windows 10 users. It will give sudden boast to your Slow internet speed.
