  1. Any good reasons why I should update to version 2004? following several unsuccessful attempts

    Hi all

I am a subscriber to Office365 Personal, currently on version 1909.

Three times I have tried to update to version 2004 and three times it has failed, the latest this morning.

The failure manifests -after a few HOURS of updating- as a blue screen and a message: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL or, this morning,KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE.

There does not seem to be an easy fix. I have tried some things but nothing sheds any light on the actual cause. And quite frankly I do not have the time or the inclination to try potential fixes one at a time, running an update each time then waiting for a few hours on the off chance that it updates successfully.

The thing is that I am able to use my PC normally without the update- in other words, it does everything I want it do to.

    My question:

Is there any good reason why I *should* update?

I don't care about getting new features but my concern is security issues.

    Thanks

    :)

Unable to update Window 10 Pro version 1607 to version 1709

Have made several attempts to update Windows 10 version 1607 to the latest version 1709 and have not been successful.

I've done the following per some suggestions found online:

    • Updated drivers
    • Ran the Trouble Shooter for Windows 10 (Errors found were shown to be "Fixed" per the tool)
    • Unplugged the printer
    • Ran the DISM.exe
Although not at every attempt, I have received the following errors:

    • 0xc1900101 - 0x30018
    • 0x900704c7
Can someone please advise me as to what the errors are and provide me with the steps to update Windows.

    Thank you

    Click the Next button.

    Click the No, thanks button.

    Click the Next button.
