    Print to PDF not working

I frequently use PDF printing across a variety of software programs, including MS Word and Quickbooks. Recently, printing to PDF stopped working. For example, when I try to print in Word using Microsoft Print to PDF, I get the following error message:

We couldn't print because there doesn't seem to be a printer installed. :-

    Attempted resolutions:

    1. In the optional features window, the "Microsoft Print to PDF" is box checked I have also tried unchecking and rechecking this box.
    2. I ran the command shell admin to enable Microsoft Print to PDF. It showed successful completion.
    3. In system settings, I've tried:

Add printers & scanners -> The printer that I want isn't listed -> Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings -> Use an existing port -> FILE: Print to file

When I select Microsoft as the manufacturer, I have a variety of printers but no PDF option.

All the Microsoft and internet-based troubleshooting I've looked at has led me to one of the above resolution methods. I have not altered any settings that I'm aware of, including deleting printers. I'm running 64-bit Win10 Home v2004.

    :)

Thanks for your help. I was browsing the web the other day and I found a page called FINAL DRAFT. They had a set of instructions for reinstalling the Microsoft Print to PDF utility that worked great for me. Problem solved.
