AV Capture Card Picture Stutters After Windows 10 Update.

I have a Adesso Video Capture Express USB card I use, and after the last few recently Windows 10 Updates, I wanna say as far back as the June or July updates, my capture card's picture has suddenly started to stutter.

I also tested my old Dazzle capture card, and it too has some stutter, though not as much as the Adesso. And my HDMI capture card isn't affected at all, so it's just my capture cards that have the AV plugs on them those old plugs and input jacks with that are yellow, white, and red . I've tried to update the Adesso card's drivers, but no change. The only fix I've been able to fine so far has been rolling back my machine prior to those updates.

    :)

  3. windows 10 snippit capture

    Hi David,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community and being a part of Windows 10.

I understand the inconvenience you are facing in accessing screen captures obtained from snipping tool. We will help you with this issue.

Do let us know if the issue is confined to any specific capture that you have obtained?

This issue might have occurred due to corrupted system files. Try the below troubleshooting steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to run SFC scan and check if it helps.

System File Checker is a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files. If a
Windows Resource Protection (WRP) file is missing or is corrupted, Windows may not behave as expected.

    Follow the below steps:

    • Right click on the Start button, click on
      Command Prompt (Admin).
    • Type “sfc /scannow” without the quotes and hit
      Enter.
    • After the scan, restart the computer and check for the issue.

Step 2: Also, I suggest you to install all the pending updates on Windows 10.

    • Connect to the internet.

    • Press Windows
      key and type updates.

    • Click on Check for updates.

    • Under Windows Updates, click on
      Check for updates.

    • Try to install the updates being shown.

Hope it helps. Kindly update the status of this issue, we will be happy to help you further.

AV Capture Card Picture Stutters After Windows 10 Update.

Quick Access not searching Pictures folder

Summary, that last suggestion didn't work.

    • I moved the pictures to another folder temporarily.

    • Since there were no troubleshooting steps for this scenario, just for the heck of it, I ran through the restore steps. Copied some pictures into the Pictures folder, ran a Quick Access search and initial problem remains: Searching all of QA doesn't find any files in Pictures folder, running search on just the Pictures folder does. I want to run a global search and find matching files in any/all of the Documents, Music, Videos, and Pictures folders.
That article dates from 2015 and I'm guessing is out of date. I hope it didn't create potential future problems in my registry.

Bottom line: I'm still looking for a fix.
