Update Does Not Go Away After Installing

    Hello everyone,

I was installing some optional driver updates on my wife's laptop HP ENVY - 17m-ce0013dx which went very well and quickly and no problems seen after installs. However there is one update that is still showing up in the Optional Update Queue in Settings even though it was was successfully installed. I went to Windows>>Software Distribution>>Downloads and cleaned out the folder but the optional update still remains. I have restarted her laptop and it still remains. I am hesitant to do anything else to try and remove it from that Queue as I do not want to screw up her updates. I was wondering if anyone has had experience with something like this and could guide me how to do or should I just ignore it and wait for October's 20H2 Version Build to clear it out since new versions clears out past updates among other things.

    Regards,

    Don

As you can see below the update was successfully installed:

As you can see below the optional update is still there even after installation:

BTW I have tried several re-installations and it installs successfully but update still remains in optional updates.

    :)

Insurgency wont install and run for me....

I have played and have fully updated CS and Half life 2....
I am using the newest client and installed the SDK.

I am completely blown away, if i click the desktop icon it starts the sdk and then closes, and it doesn't show up in my game list...

First mod attempt install here, followed the directions step by step on the mods website...

    Any ideas?

Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the time to respond Update Does Not Go Away After Installing :) Best regards.

And thanks for the tip of that program, I'll have it on my list.
