Windows 10: Cannot sign into my Microsoft or Xbox account in settings

I've been looking for how to fix this for a couple hours now, yesterday, I got Xbox game pass and tried to play a game, however I couldn't sign into Xbox at all, error 0x80190001. Today, I tried again, this time on Dead by Daylight, and got the same error. So to fix it, I switched to a local account from my Microsoft Account so I could try to sign in again after, though now I am unable to "Sign in with a Microsoft account instead". I press the button, again, "Sign in with a Microsoft account instead", and a dark grey box with the title "Microsoft account" appears, then disappears after about a second 1s.

I've tried:

1. This PowerShell command I found on a 5 year old thread regarding the same issue;

$manifest = Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.WindowsStore.InstallLocation + '\AppxManifest.xml' ; Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $manifest

which I ran in an administrator PowerShell window.
2. Another similar PowerShell command I can't find at the moment.
3. sfc /scannow in Command Prompt, which reported nothing wrong.
4. The troubleshooter for Microsoft Accounts, sent by an admin on answers.microsoft.com. microsoftaccounts.diagcab
5. Reinstalling windows through a USB created with the Windows Media Creation Tool, which I ran the setup in windows, so to not lose any of my data


I'm on Windows Version 10.0.19041 Build 19041. Ideally I would prefer to do something that will not make me lose my installed programs or any of my data. If you need any more information I can post it. Thanks in advance.

Cannot sign in microsoft account.

My device: Lumia 520. GDR2.
I cannot sign in my Microsoft account on my device. It didnt say any error but Microsoft account is not listed in Email and account list. When I click add button, it will show microsoft account option but after press sign in, it is still not shown in email
and account. Another problem is i cannot delete facebook account. Error code: 0x83cf1202. I have tried as suggested here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2475837/en-us#step0x83cf1202 but as my Microsoft account is not shown, I cannot do step 6.

Any suggestion?

Welcome to Microsoft Community.

• Is this the only account on the computer?
• Was this account upgraded from previous version of Windows?

It looks like you are using a local account. I suggest you follow these steps:

• Click on search in taskbar and type account.
• Click on Accounts.
• Now, under Your account, click on Sign in with Microsoft account instead.
• Enter your Local account password for confirmation and then follow the screen instruction.
• Enter User name credentials for your the new Microsoft account and click OK.

I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Navigate to Start>Settings>Accounts.
• In the left pane, click on sign-in options.
• In the right pane select Never from the drop down list for the option
  Require sign-in.
