  1. Image is upside down in Camera App and Face Sign In

    Dear Microsoft,

a few days ago I have purchased a Asus ZenBook with Windows 10 Home 64.

The Camera App as well as Face sign in were working properly.

After installing recent Windows updates 2004 and updates for all other apps on the computer, face sign in was not working the app can not recognize my face and the image on the Camera App is upside down.

I have tried to uninstall device, drivers, update drivers but no luck.

As I have finally decided to move from being a 10 Years + iOS user MacBook Pro, iPad, iPhone to Windows based platforms I have sadly rediscover why I was long before disappointed in Windows.

It happens all the time that something is not working properly and I have to spend hours and hours searching in various forums for the solution instead of using the hardware and software for the purpose I bot them at first place.

Such issues had never happened on any of my iOS devices.

    So disappointed!

    Sincerely yours

    Miodrag Misic

    :)

  3. Camera image upside down after updated Winddow 10

Welcome to Microsoft Community. Thank you for showing interest on Windows 10.

Are you facing this issue only in the Camera app?

Does this happen only with video recording or when taking pictures as well?

What is the make and model of the camera?

If you have installed any other webcam software that came along with your computer and as you have Skype, I would suggest you to check if you face this issue only in the camera app or in other apps as well.

If you face this issue only in the camera app, then it could be caused due to some incorrect settings in the camera app. In this case, I would suggest you to try these steps mentioned in this article and check:

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-in/windows-8/what-troubleshoot-problems-app

If you are facing this issue in other applications as well, then it could be due to corrupt webcam driver or a hardware fault. I would suggest you to try these steps and check:

Method 1: Hardware and devices troubleshooter

This built-in troubleshooter can detect and fix most of the incorrect settings and errors that could cause issues with hardware devices. Refer to these steps to run this troubleshooter:

    a) Press Windows key +F to bring up the search Charms bar.

    b) Type Troubleshooter and press enter; click on the
Settings tab below the search box.

    c) Click on the Find and Fix problems tile and then click on the
view all button the left panel.

    d) Click on the hardware and devices troubleshooter and run it.

    Method 2:

First uninstall and reinstall the camera drivers. Here are the steps to uninstall drivers,

    • Press Windows key +
R key and go to Run

    • Type devmgmt.msc

    • Right click on the camera drivers and
      Uninstall it

    • Then I would suggest you to install the latest webcam driver from the manufacturer’s website and check.
