Windows 10: MacBook Pro Mid 2010 with Windows 10

Acquired a Macbook Pro Mid2010 and want to install windows 10 on it. Found out on Apple's site that Boot Camp doesn't support Mid 2010 for Windows 10. I have a legit Product Key for Windows 10.

I did some research and found out some people have had success with installing Windows 10. One video that struck me was https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNezs9ctkMo and he got it to run with Boot Camp by installing Windows 7, 8, 8,1 and ultimately Windows 10. I did a search for Windows 7 installation and discovered that Microsoft still allows you to download Windows 7, legit. But in order for me to download, I need a product key. If I want to follow this the YouTuber's method, how do I get a legit version of Windows 7.

Is there another (easier) way of getting Windows 10 to work on my MacBook Pro mid 2010? Also, I have been told that if I install Windows 10 on this, it may not work later because the Apple updates screws up Windows 10, is this true? It is running the latest version of MacOS that it can handle, officially

Display Driver continuously crashing | windows 10 on MacBook Pro 15 Mid 2010

Unfortunately there is a defect with the mid-2010 MacBook Pro, specifically the 15” and 17” models with dedicated NVIDIA graphics onboard. There is a cheap capacitor Apple decided to use (most likely to cut costs cause they dont make enough money already)
that cannot handle the voltage required by the dedicated NVIDIA graphics when under under heavy load. It leads to kernel panics in macOS and driver crashes in Windows. The best solution to fix the problem is to get the capacitor replaced with the right one.
In the mean time I installed “MBP Mid-2010 GPU Fix” as a temporary fix in macOS to keep my MacBook from giving me a kernel panic. What the fix basically does is keep the dedicated gpu from hitting high performance mode (g state 0) which helps eliminate the
voltage issue with the capacitor, although after the patch you’ll only be able to use at max about 70% of the dedicated gpu’s total power. I haven’t had a single kernel panic after applying the patch in macOS, but I am looking to get the issue permanently
fixed as I unfortenately haven’t been able to find a similar temporary solution for windows.

You need support software (drivers) installed with Boot Camp to use Windows 10. This software is automatically downloaded when you use Boot Camp Assistant. Boot Camp supports 64-bit versions of Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Pro when used with a supported
Mac. Here are the list that supports Windows 10:

• MacBook Air (2012 and later)
• MacBook (2015 and later)
• iMac Pro (2017)iMac (2012 and later)
• Mac mini (2012 and later)
• Mac mini Server (Late 2012)
• Mac Pro (Late 2013)

Windows 10 installation error (macbook air mid 2011, 13")

Did you have success on a mid-2011 macbook air? I would also like to do this upgrade, but this article doesn't list the mid-2011.
