Windows 10: Renaming folders makes files inaccessible

I can create and rename files and folders, but whenever I change a folder name, any files within that folder become inaccessible. I get an error message that implies the computer is still looking for the file within the previous name of the folder. For example, if I had something like "Main Folder/Folder/File" and renamed the "Main Folder" to "Updated Folder" and tried to open "File" I would get an error message saying something to the effect of "Can't open "Main Folder/Folder/File".

How to make a Uber Hidden Folder

• Make a new folder.
• Change the icon to a blank icon. No icon should appear
• Rename the folder to a blank by pressing "alt + 255." (NOTE: Press 255 on the numpad) No text should appear.
