    Computer formerly on Linux not booting windows


    A while ago I tried to install Linux. I didn't like it so I deleted the partition and continued using windows. Now, after several months, I'm getting a grub rescue message on boot. I don't know what could have promoted this. What I find online says to boot from a windows usb, but I don't understand how to get one. Is there any way for my to return to my old system, with my files? How could it have disappeared?

    How to go about building a tri-boot system?

    i dual boot all the time, and going in to tri boot is easy.

    step 1) partition the drive in to 3 partitions ( leaving 1 empty for the linux installer. )
    step 2) install windows on the first 2 partitions.
    step 3) install linux, and let it auto partition the remaining space. ( i recommend at least 30gb of space for linux, because it will make things a lot easier. )

    step 4) enjoy.

    dual booting Windows and Linux

    I was wondering if theres a way when dual booting Windows 7 and Linux Mint, to have it boot Windows by default and possibly not show the GRUB menu, and if I press a certain key, have it boot linux instead?

    Is this even possible?

    So Linux is switching to secure boot also? Or they have to because of UEFI?
