Just some rambling, but pretty much every Windows 10 PC or laptop I have is from an OEM of some kind. When it comes to updating (both major and security updates), I haven't had any major problems (no graphical glitches or BSODs. The only BSOD I had was from a bad hard drive).

I dunno if this applies to everyone or not, but for me, coasts are definitely clear. The minor issues I had were easily fixed.

    :)

Custom built PC may have died.

It depends, the version that comes with an OEM/Brand computer is tied to only that computer but the Retail version normally used on Custom-built computers can be transferred to a Replacement computer but can't be installed/used on both at the same time.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

  4. Are OEMs more stable than custom built PCs when it comes to updates?

Is it legal to use Windows 10 OEM Key on a custom built computer?

Hi I am planing to buy a new computer. But a catch with it is that I need to get an Windows 10 key.

I saw sites like Kinguin and G2A where they sell Windows 10 OEM keys for 15-20$.

I just wanted to be sure if getting those keys and activating on my custom built pc is legal or not.
