  1. Can't connect to TV with HDMI anymore

For someone reason I can't connect to my tv anymore with an hdmi. I've done minor things such as check the hdmi and even tried another tv but it's actually the computer.

I've tried to change the display. Duplicate. Personalize. Windows + p, but nothing works. The computer says I need to reinstall the driver of use a different video card? How do I do that?

I heard that updating will solve the problem, but when I updated a while back and my computer started having werid static and when I asked how to solve this I had to "roll back" the update, idk how to say it. Hopefully someone can help me at least understand what's happened

    Laptopc can´t connect to TV

    Hi,

Please reply to the questions mentioned below in order to assist you in a better way.

    • Are you connecting the PC and TV using a HDMI cable?
    • Did you make any changes prior to the issue?

I suggest you to try the steps below and check if it helps.

    • First you need a video cable for making the physically connection. For better picture quality, you should connect the computer to the TV using standard VGA ports or via the DVI to HDMI cable provided your TV supports these ports.
    • Open the "display settings" in your computer and activate output to the TV screen. You can either mirror content of your computer on the TV or extend the display just like a dual monitor screen.
    • Pick up your TV remote and switch to "External Inputs" from the menu. You will need to change the default "Video 1" to a different selection which may be "HDMI 1" or "Video 2" depending on how you have made the connection.

Important: Make sure you connect the cable to the TV before turning on the computer as sometimes it may fail to recognize external display.

You may also need to change the screen resolution of your TV using the Display settings in your Control Panel else the picture may appear distorted.

Please revert if you face any issues with PC not connecting to TV.

  3. PC cannot connect to TV via HDMI output.

I have the same problem. I cannot connect to my LG Smart TV via HDMI anymore since upgrading to Windows 10.

I have gone through the above steps and no luck.

I can connect to an old TV via VGA cable but again not HDMI. The Intel dialogue boxes know that a TV is connected but the TV says 'No Signal'

This is very frustrating and I hope someone has an answer to this

Can't connect to TV with HDMI anymore

Laptop not recognizing TV through HDMI connection

    Hello everyone!

First I do apologize if this is not the correct section for this thread.

I've had issues connecting my laptop to TV for the past day. Connection is done through an HDMI cable. Connection was good up until it randomly turned off itself while playing a game. There have been no hardware or software changes whatsoever that would affect it.

TV is SAMSUNG, Model: UE32J4000AW. Laptop info is available in My PC Specs. (laptop is brand new, week or two old)

Here's what I've tried so far:

    • 3 different HDMI cables
    • switching between ports on TV
    • tried all projection options on Laptop
    • Disable / Enable both Intel and Nvidia drivers
    • Rollback Intel GPU driver and installed it back to latest version
    • Re-installed Nvidia driver
    • Restarted PC and TV
    • Scan for hardware changes through Device Manager
    • Checked Intel and Nvidia control panels - there were no available options
    • Apparently both HDMI ports on the TV work as I tried them with a tv box.

I think that's all I've tried so far, will add anything else if missed. Open to suggestions.
