  1. Loud alarm after system scan

    Version 1909B.18363.1016
Dell 5570 - lately has been running a quick system scan when I boot - it is quick and the alarm that it generates is LOUD. Is there any way to disable that alarm? Thanks very much. I also don't ask for this scan - it is doing it automatically.

    :)

    LOUD alarm volume!

those steps seem more like WM5 (which i had and could set the alarm volume separately), but in WM6, the path is: Start --> Organizer --> Alarms. here, you can select the Tone, but can't adjust the volume. i incorrectly stated in my prev post that i couldn't
adjsut my ring tone volume. i can and have.

any ideas on how to adjust the alarm volume? it's quite loud by default.

X3-02 wake up alarm too loud!

Wake up alarm is too loud, I
want to change it, is there such option
    in the menu?

I searched but could not find it from the menu. Sound is unreasonably
    loud.

Is there perhaps some other Nokia
    software that fits this model
    and has alarm volume changes?

Updated to Mango and now alarm is really loud / won't comply with system volume

    Hi MSA People,

I've updated my Samsung Omnia 7 to Mango (a.k.a WP7.5 or Update 7.10.7720) a few weeks back via the Zune software as per standard update business, and I am thoroughly impressed with the range of improvements and upgrades throughout the phone - with one exception.

Pre-Mango I had no problem setting my phone volume to around 5 or 6/30 volume for my morning alarm, and that was very acceptable in terms of volume.

Post-Mango, despite having my phone volume set to "1/30", i.e. the lowest possible setting, the alarm is 'alarmingly' loud (apologies for the pun), and startles myself and my wife away every morning. Not cool.

There does not appear to be any new individual settings under the alarm, and short of muting the phone with a pillow each night, I'm not sure there's any other way other than to buy an Alarm app as has been recommended in a couple of other discussions and threads
    I've browsed.

I don't want to cover my phone with a pillow - or have to pay for / install a new app just to take care of this.

    • Does anyone know of a real solution? i.e. not a guess or suggestion, but actually
      know what this problem is
know if it is being addressed?

I'm not throwing my phone out over this issue, but
I'd prefer if the answers to this thread addressed the issue specifically rather than provide more speculation because of the lack of coverage on the net at this point in time.

    Thanks for your help,

    Steve
