Windows 10: Acer Nitro 5 suddenly locks screen even plugged in / shuts down if there is no battery.

My laptop Acer Nitro 5 suddenly has a problem that made me think a lot which is really the problem.

- My laptop isn't going up just staying at 0% with my AC plugged in then suddenly it just warns me that my battery is running out pls plug in after that it locks my laptop and it happens again and again. I tried removing the battery and plugged in the charger and it turns off all of a sudden or it goes black screen then i didn't use it for awhile until i got an AC from a friend (with same V and A in input and output.) i tried charging it and it didn't go up but at least it's not warning me but after 30mins of use it turns off all of a sudden and sometimes go black screen (I know the laptop is still on and the keyboard are lighting up).

Could this be an AC issue or something else? I assume actually it was the problem with the latest update of windows causing the black screen.

Black Screen on Acer Nitro 5

Hello, I have been using my new acer nitro 5 and I just got a problem on it. I updated my computer, then I signed in and there was a black screen with my cursor. After a little bit, it showed the tool bar and my background but not my apps. If I put my
cursor over the toolbar, there is just a loading symbol and it never stops loading. Please I really want help so I can use my computer again.

 

Realtek Audio Console on Acer Nitro 5

Hello all. I recently noticed that my Acer Nitro 5 was no longer detecting any headset devices and I am unable to get any input via the mic (and have also borrowed other headsets from the original one I had, all of which have the single 3.5mm jack which
works with the Acer Nitro 5's single audio input). I am also only getting this when I pull up the Realtek Audio Console:



What steps should I take to resolve this issue?

Hi TN. I'm Greg, an installation specialist, 10 year Windows MVP, and Volunteer Moderator here to help you.

Go into BIOS/UEFI Setup to see if you can set the onboard chip to default. You can power on while pressing the Acer F1 or ESC key. Older models may use F2. This may be listed on the BIOS splash screen.

If you don't get a display for the BIOS even, then I'd reinstall the Nvidia card and properly disable it in BIOS setup before removing it this time.
