Clicking Icon on Taskbar Does Not Switch to Program

I've tried the fix that is shown under this heading, but I don't have the taskbar options tab, so I don't have the Always on top option. Unless I minimise other windows the one I click on the taskbar doesn't open, although it may do on a double click

    Any ideas?

    :)

    Feature suggestion: Add right-click menu

Suggestion: Please add a Windows 7 Jump-List and/or right-click menu to the GPU-Z icon in the Windows taskbar. Possible menus in it would be "Exit" and "About GPU-Z...".
Maybe also "Switch to tab 1/Switch to tab 2/Switch to videocard 1/Switch to videocard 2" too.
Examples of programs that have such menus are ICQ, Skype, AIM.

NOTE: It seems for a right-click menu, Windows 7 is not needed - it works on WinXP and Vista too.
But even a Windows 7 Jump-list may be good enough.
    What do you think?

Clicking Icon on Taskbar Does Not Switch to Program

I suddenly have this new issue when I Click a Icon on Taskbar it Does Not Switch to Program. Everything used to work well- now this suddenly.

This is some how related to Edge. When Edge is the active program - this problem occurs, when I minimize Edge I can switch.

I am not able find any setting to fix this problem

    System Icons on taskbar

    Hi,

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Communities.

Are you referring to the clock system icon on the taskbar?

If so, I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:

    • Click on the search bar on the taskbar.

    • Type system icons.

    • Under Turn System Icons ON or OFF, turn On the Clock and check with the issue.

    Hope it helps.
