My PC all of a sudden stopped being able to connect to my wifi extender.

Hello,

a couple of days ago the connection between my wifi extender (Netgear EXT6100v2) and my PC all of a sudden dropped out. Everytime I try to connect to the network, it loads for a little, then the tab that shows the available network goes down, then back up
and says "Unable to connect to this network". This happens on both the 2G and 5G networks. I am able to connect to the router 100% fine. All other devices in the house (apart from my iPad) are able to connect to the extender with no worries. I have tried:

- Restarting and moving the extender

- Restarting the router

- Resyncing the WPS between router and extender

- Removing the PC from the device list on mywifiext.net

- An ethernet cable straight from the extender to my PC (it acts as if I have plugged the ethernet cable into my router, it completely ignores the fact that it is plugged into the extender.

- Setting the extender network as a known network in the Windows 10 network settings.

- Deleting/updating my wifi adapter drivers does not work. (TP-Link WDN4800)

I am all out of ideas. I tried booting into safe mode but it doesn't let me connect to the Internet in general while in safe mode. I really want to be able to connect to the extender so any suggestions would be gladly appreciated. Thanks.

 

PC Build Steps

Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval

• Install system in case
  • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
• Turn on PC
• setup HDD
• run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
  • run realtemp at the same time

• While in Prime95 test
  • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
  • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
  • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!

What do you guys think??
