Windows 10: Missing Digital Ownership for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020

As the title suggest, I don't have the "digital ownership" add-on in my microsoft store library. I activated a code for the Pre-order standard pack, which should include the digital ownership according to microsofts website, but I can't find it, and as soon as I start up the game, I'm hit with "please insert disc to continue".

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 Digital Ownership Error With Game Pass

Hello,

I am having an issue installing Microsoft Flight Sim 2020 on my windows machine. I have Game Pass Ultimate and have attempted to download the sim through the Microsoft Store using my subscription. Every time I try to begin the install the "Digital Ownership"
immediately errors out and gives me the error 0x87E00017.

I have tried the following:

-Updating Windows to version 2004

-Updated the MS Store to the latest version

-Resetting the store through the settings

-Reinstalling the store

-Uninstalling all program files from the simulator

-Making the account on the store an administrator

And a few others

I have followed every video and post I could find discussing issues installing Flight Simulator 2020 and more generally Game Pass games and nothing has worked so far. I have been at this for about a week now and still have had no luck. I have dozens of other
Game Pass titles installed and they all run fine and gave no issue so I'm not sure why this one is being particularly difficult but since the "Digital Ownership" is what is failing initially causing the other downloads to error out I can only assume it has
something to do with Game Pass and this game particularly.

Any ideas and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
