Windows 10: Ready to buy digital Lic for MS Office Pro 2019 standalone

I'm still using MS Office 2007 on my desaktop PC. I use Word and Excel but still using Outlook for all my email accounts.
I know Office 2021 is coming soon and thinking buying Office 2019 online for about $50 with digital lic. and download link.
I don't use Office much, Word and Excel but really still like to use Outlook.

Should I update to 2019 Office Pro or keep my perfectly running Office Pro 2007?

Are these online sites that sell MS Office Pro Lic legit or a scam?
Any you suggest is legit.
Have you bought before using this method?
Pro's and Con's?

Only supported on Win10. Sorry, 8.1 users, only 4 years old, gotta go.

Last year at Ignite, we announced Office 2019 – the next perpetual version of Office that includes apps (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and Skype for Business) and servers (including Exchange, SharePoint, and Skype for Business). Today we’re pleased to share the following updates:

• Office 2019 will ship in H2 of 2018. Previews of the new apps and servers will start shipping in the second quarter of 2018.
• Office 2019 apps will be supported on:
  • Any supported Windows 10 SAC release
  • Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2018
  • The next LTSC release of Windows Server
• The Office 2019 client apps will be released with Click-to-Run installation technology only. We will not provide MSI as a deployment methodology for Office 2019 clients. We will continue to provide MSI for Office Server products.

 

Is there anything I should know before buying Office 2019

You might find this article interesting in comparing Office 365 and the standalone Office 2019 versions. I'd recommend getting 365 instead, unless you can't afford the annual subscription charge.

I just loaded MS Office 2019 Professional Pro and it does not show in the Start menu

I just loaded MS Office 2019 Professional Pro and it does not show in the Start menu. MS Office 2010 and MS 2016 does under Microsoft Start menu. However, the Excel, Word, Outlook etc. shows on the icon as “2016” for all. When I open the program, it shows
as Office “Excel 2019” (as does the others show 2019). I had been running MS Office Pro 2016 prior.



Microsoft Office 2019 does show on the Control panel. As does MS Office Pro 2010. (I only use the Picture Manager on the Office Pro 2010) The Office Pro 2016 version is not shown on the Control Panel.



I have a Lenovo Yoga laptop running Windows 10 Pro and I’m up to date on updates.





Any reason this has happened?
