Windows 10: cant send messages or upload screen shots on xbox console companion

why does microsoft always force us to use another app by disabling stuff to make us download it now they want us pc players to buy a xbox send your screenshots to your xbox and upload them and to make things worse i can no longer message my freind DOWNLOAD ARE NEW XBOX APP THAT HAS NOTHING ON IT im wondering if someone can give me a download link to a appx of a version were messages and uploading were stil working

xbox console companion always shows a new message with no way to get rid of it.

I appreciate the efforts taken by you in resolving the issue. I understand that you receive a message in Xbox Console Companion app. I’ll certainly assist you with the issue.



However, please let us know:



· May I know the message that you receive?

· When exactly do you receive the message?



One of the things you can try is to uninstall the Xbox Console Companion app and then try reinstalling it. To do this, refer the steps mentioned below:



1. Press Windows logo key + I, to open
Settings.

2. Click on Apps and select
Apps & features from the left pane.

3. Now, look for Xbox Console Companion app in the list, click on it and select
Uninstall.

4. Once the app is uninstalled, go to
Microsoft Store and Install the application.

XBOX COnsole Companion doesn't work- use Xbox Console Companion - Beta

FYI

Windows store sells and trades via XBOX Live Ultimate for PC, games and though I have found this question. "Xbox for PC game doesn't start"; I haven't found any answers. The problem is with Xbox console companion which has become updated in new form XBOX
Console Companion-Beta.

I usually have given up when there is no starting a game and after resetting or reinstalling game fails, and I would have missed this for I seldom install beta software, but I wanted to play this game. The game did not sign in properly using the Xbox Companion,
which is necessary to run the game.

Simply sign-in to games using Xbox Console Companion-Beta.

 

Xbox App now changed it's name to Xbox Console Companion

If your new here, welcome to the Microsoft community forms!

Some of you have probably realised that the Xbox App has changed its name to Xbox Companion App. It does the same thing as the Xbox App, but there are some new features!

They have changed the name so it fits into how the App will be used in the future. The App will be a one stop place to customise the consoles features and settings right from your Windows or mobile device.

More features and settings are set to follow in the near future for this app. However you do need to be running the latest versions of Windows.

Logo has changed

The Logo used to be a picture of the Xbox Icon. Now the logo has changed to a picture of a console as seen in the image underneath





Group Messages have been removed from the App

You will no longer be able to send group messages in the app. However, you will be able to send group messages on your Xbox console and from the Windows game bar when you press Start key & R together.

You can still message people from within the App and through the Windows Game bar.

Voice messaging on the App on mobile devices

You will now be able to send and receive voice messages through your Xbox Console Companion App on your IOS and Android device. This is a new feature that has been implemented to make it easier for you to send and receive messages with your friends on Xbox.

My old messages have been removed!

Yes, when the App was updated, old messages have been removed. Xbox did send an announcement via Xbox Message about these changes.
