Windows 10: Microsoft Basic Display Adapter/Driver. Brightness Controls not working. Battery settings...

Hello!

I had an issue with the proper Intel hd 620 Graphics Driver that is adecuate for my Laptop. Lenovo 330 S.


The technician decided to use the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter.


The problems are that:


I cannot change the britghtness level, so the brightness is too much. this is serious for me, hurting eyes...

I cannot use de power settings. also serious, the battery runs out too fast

Cannot use hdmi port not serious


Is there something I can do to improve the performance of this driver?



It seems to be linked to de monitor driver which is a Pnp generic one.

Intel and Microsoft Basic Display adapter Driver problems - brightness + Cant project

Hi,

Samsung 450R Laptop

Windows 10

Installed Intel video driver: 10.18.10.4276

When the intel driver is installed, the screen is very dim, and the brightness controls do not work.

To fix this, I rolled back the driver, which puts the microsoft basic display adapter in use. The screen instantly brightens to a normal level.

However, under the microsoft basic display adapter I cannot project to another screen, and everytime I shut down the computer it reverts back to the dim intel driver.

Really stuck on how to fix this issue.

No Display after Microsoft Basic Display Adapter

I could not adjust the brightness of my monitor using Windows 10. I found a website (How to fix Windows 10 brightness control not working issue) which suggested that I change my display's driver to Microsoft Basic Display
Adapter. However, as soon as I accepted that option, both of my screens went black and now they will not show a display. The lights on the front of both are flashing, so I know they're on. I've also never had a problem with either screen before. I've tried
disconnecting the screens, reconnecting only one, and resetting my computer, but no luck.

 

Screen Brightness won't work after last update, even using "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter"

I could not adjust the brightness of my monitor using Windows 10. I found in a website which suggested that I change my display's driver to Microsoft Basic Display Adapter. However, as soon as I accepted that option, my screen goes almost 100% black, so
I reset my laptop and it starts with the new driver, but with the brightness ajustment not working at all as it worked befor with this generic driver.

How can I fix that, my brightness is always 100%.

My Laptop is a VAIO VPCEA24FM (Intel Core i3)
