  1. Windows recovery failure

I see "locked"comments from 2017 that there is "no Advanced System Recovery". if so, WHY does my Windows 10 computer tell me that after multiple system recovery attempts - attempts that have taken overa three hours before telling me that the attempt has failed and to try "advanced system recovery"?

ALL I want to do is restore my computer to where it was about three weeks ago.

    :)

Anybody knows of a good data recovery software for mac? Preferably free?

I use Active@ Data Recovery for Windows, but honestly no idea what to use for Mac OSX.
