Windows 10: Need help with "DPC_Watchdog_Violation" error on new PC

As the title mentions I just built my first PC, and starting getting the 'DPC Watchdog Violation' BSOD, mostly when I try and play any game.



I'm fairly new to PCs (recently switched from Mac) so i'm pretty lost and frustrated and would love any help.

MY BUILD:

Storage: Samsung 970 EVO Plus SSD 500GB ; Crucial BX500 2TB 3D

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X (with stock cooler)

GPU: Nvidia GTX 1660 Super

Memory: G.Skill RipJaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB)

Motherboard: MSI B550-A PRO ProSeries Motherboard

PSU: Cooler Master 650 Gold, 80+ Gold Certified 650W Power Supply



What I have tried:

I have already tried reinstalling drivers from my device manager, and have also attempted a full reboot of windows 10.



Please me know if anyone has any tips!

are you getting the same blue screen error when you play other games? Or is it only occurring when you play a particular game?
