Windows 10: Problem Streaming Videos to other devices from Windows 10

Hello,


Until recently ~1 month ago I was able to stream videos from my PC to my LG TV without problem.

Now most but not all of the videos appear on the list as folders with the titles of the date and time.

Those folders are empty, and the files cannot be played.

I first thought that the problem might be with the TV, but those files show up the same way on my Nvidia Shield.

The files all appear properly and are playable directly on the PC but not when I try to stream them to other devices.

Audio files still work fine on the other devices and do not have this problem


Again I didn't have this problem everything worked fine until about a month ago.

Most of the videos are home videos which were recorded on my cellphone or digitized from old VHS tapes.


Any Suggestions?

Video streaming failed with unsupported video type error

Hi,
I was able to resolve the issue by disabling all hardware enhancements for Conexant Smartaudio HD. Here are the steps I took to resolve it, in case someone else runs into the same frustrating problem as I did: Right click on the speaker icon on the lower right hand corner -> Playback Devices -> Disable all hardware enhancements -> OK -> Reboot. That's it!
