  2. WindowsApps folder ownership

    Hello,

As I know, the default owner for WindowsApps folder is TrustedInstaller. You can try restoring ownership to TrustedInstaller, refer first reply here for the required steps:

    Restore WindowsApps permissionss to TrustedInstaller

    Hope this helps!

  3. Change Windows Defender Ownership to Local Administrator

I ran cmd as administrator with command takeown /f "Windows Defender" /r /d y and I get Access is Denied. I'm signed in as local administrator. It's a long story but I need to change the filename of a file in Windows Defender folder to fix an SMS issue for
work. I need to take ownership to rename file. Something is preventing me from changing it trying to figure out why.

Change Windows Defender Ownership to Local Administrator

Why would you want to change the ownership of system folders?

    takeown /f Windows Defender /r /d y

In Windows (and in all other operating systems), file or folder names that contain embedded spaces MUST be surrounded by double quotes!
