  2. Cortana changes Mic volume to 100%

I agree! On mine, it changes the volume from 100% to 34% and i have to manually change it back after using Cortana.

There is a catch though... If this is added as a feature of Cortana, I think the changes in Mic volume from within Cortana should only affect Cortana.

    For example:

User changes volume of the mic in Cortana to 85%, but has it set to 100% in system volume settings.

When the user says "Hey Cortana!" Cortana would change the mic volume to 85% while she's listening, then change it back to 100% when she's not listening.

  3. Cortana changes Mic volume to 100%

When you say hey cortana the mic volume will shoot to 100% a simple fix would be add a setting inside cortana for setting up mic volume.

My normal volume is 70% perfect for my Teamspeak chat, having my mic go auto to 100% once I use Cortana isn't very good.

    Windows Automatically Increases Microphone Volume

The microphone on the Beyerdynamic MMX 300 is quite loud and sensitive, so I decrease the input volume by 30% in the recording devices menu, but regardless of disallowing access to it from other programs e.g. Skype, it always seems to change back up to 91% after awhile. I'll attach screenshots of the settings I've changed in Skype/recording devices. How would I completely prevent the volume readjusting itself?
