  1. Inadvertently set up a 'sign-into account' on PC and need it removed

Having got the family PC recently back from a service, I've been having to bit by bit reset up various aspects of the computer. One was our pc protection but forgetting that our provider was going to have to be re-downloaded, I clicked open the hidden icons and just clicked on the shield that was there and signed in to it which for this particular is my work email which is also a recognised Microsoft/Outlook account. Having really been caught at the wrong moment to have been asked to do this, I didn't realise I was actually signing in to Windows Defender and have ended up with the dam PC now looking for a password and my work email address set up and the entire thing is now an admininstrator account.
I really really want to remove my work email from this PC, but I can't find anywhere I can fully sign out, only bits about creating local accounts which I would be doing anyway. I have a Microsoft/hotmail account which I will gladly swap out the work email for, but I can't even find how or where I can do that either.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. TIA

    :)

    Hi,

To help resolve your concern, we suggest that you add a local account first on your PC, before removing the other account. Follow the steps below:

    • Press the Windows key + R.
    • Type netplwiz, and then click OK.
    • Click Add.
    • Click Sign in without a Microsoft account (not recommended).
    • Click Local account, type a username, and a
      password (if you'd like one).
    • Click Next, and then click Finish.
    • Sign out of the Microsoft account you want to delete, sign in using the
local account you created, and then remove the account you want to delete.

    • To remove a Microsoft account from your Windows 10 PC:

    • Click the Start button, and then click Settings.
    • Click Accounts, scroll down, and then click the Microsoft account you would like to delete.
