Windows 10: connecting my bluetooth headset

So recently my headphones broke, so I decided to use a wireless pair; the only problem there was that it wasn't connecting or even showing up to be able to connect.

I looked in to see any related problems to see no results, I turned on my bluetooth setting, I had my device turned on, but it never said it was pairing.

I tried connecting via cable through usb slot but I found nothing popping up in the corner of the screen, nothing talking about it even charging, as if it doesn't exist.

Please help, I just want to set up stream but I have no headphones.
