  1. reactivate win 10 with a larger SSD

Hi. I nowhere find this answer in a specific way. I do have a digital license from win 10 and I am upgrading my ssd from 240gb to 500gb. That is the only change I am making. Will the activation cause problems? Thank you.

    :)

  2. Tranferring Win 10 to SSD

    Option 1:

If the SSD is equal in size to the drive it is replacing, you could create a system image saved to an external drive then restore.

    Option 2:

You can download the free Easeus ToDo Back and use it to clone the drive the restore it. Learn how:

    Option 3:

Download, create a bootable copy then reinstall Windows 10:

    Windows 10 and SSD

There are no pitfalls, but you have several ways migrate your installation to it.

If you don't want to reinstall Windows 10, you can clone or create a system image and restore it.

    Option 1: Clone:

Option 2: Create a system image and restore if the SSD is equal to larger than the drive it is replacing.

Or, you can perform a direct clean install:

    Option 2:

    Step 2:

    Windows 10 Digital License

When you upgraded from a previous version of Windows or receive a new computer preinstalled with Windows 10, what happened is the hardware (your PC) will get a digital entitlement, where a unique signature of the computer will be stored on Microsoft
Activation Servers. The Windows 7 or Windows 8 genuine license you were previously running will be exchanged for a diagnostics key.

Anytime you need to reinstall Windows 10 on that machine, just proceed to reinstall Windows 10. It will automatically reactivate. You will prompted to enter a product key a couple times through the installation, click I don't have
a key and Do this later.

There is no need to know or get a new key, but if you have issues with Digital Licensing or the Activation Troubleshooter, you can utilize an existing Windows 7 or Windows 8/8.1 product key you already own to
reactivate if necessary. or use the reset function in Windows 10.
