    BSOD on Windows 10 2004

    Hi,

I use a Dell XPS 8700 with Intel Core I74770 CPU @ 3.40 GHz with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 graphics card. I periodically get a Blue screen of death. Today I looked at the memory dump file but could not determine which driver caused the crash. I am hoping someone on this forum can tell me which driver caused the crash. I have updated all the drivers to the latest available. The dump file says:

    Bug check string system_thread_exception_not_handled

    Bug check code 0x0000007e

    Parameter 1 ffffffff'c000001d

    Parameter 2 fffff803'70dfb7a3

    Parameter 3 ffff8409'3659f508

    Parameter 4 fffff803'75e80920

    Caused by driver blank

Please let me know if you need any additional information. Thnak you in advance and I look forward to your reply

    Regards,

    George.

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

  3. BSODs with Windows 10 2004

    Hi,

I'm having a problem with BSODs (KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE) in Windows 10 version 2004. Before the upgrade to 2004, the machine was solid as a rock, with no trace of BSODs.

I just now uploaded the three most recent minidumps. The *most* recent is a dump from DriverVerifier.
