Windows 10: Code: 0x800706D9 Microsoft store

Getting this error when trying to update.

I have windows 10, 2004 build

I have latest update
I had restarted pc
I did restart with no third-party apps allowed at startup
I did diagnose and selective startup restarts
I did msreset.exe
I uninstalled and installed MS store
I terminated and reset MS store
I re-registered my apps
I logged out and in
I ran all troubleshooters
I have all the apps set to automatic and running

I think I did almost everything possible
Any ideas?

I keep getting error code 0x800706D9

when I try to update apps on the windows store I get this error code 0x800706D9.

the app starts updating then fails in like 2secs

 

I get the error code 0x800706d9

Since recently I can not download any app from the Store. I get the error
code 0x800706d9. Same with Windows updates. What could be wrong? Things worked in the past. ; win10

• Is the Norton Antivirus still installed on the system?

Note: Make sure you don’t capture any personal information while taking the screenshot.


If Norton Antivirus is still installed, I suggest you to disable Norton Antivirus and check if you are able to open Microsoft Store. Please follow the steps from

Turn off Norton to disable Norton Antivirus.

Note: If you disable the security software, the system might be temporarily exposed to security threats and risks. Please make sure to turn it on after performing the steps.

In the meantime, you can follow the steps mentioned below:

Method 1: Fix Store launch

I suggest you to follow the troubleshooting steps from the article
Microsoft Store doesn't launch.

Method 2: Sign out and sign in to Store

1. Type Store in the search bar on the
   Taskbar.
   
2. Select the Store icon from the search result.
   
3. Click on the ellipsis on the top right corner of the window.
   
4. Logout from the Store and login with the same
   Microsoft account.
