Windows 10: Fonts Inaccessible/All Fonts Have Disappeared

Hello and thank you in advance for your time.


first, the system info:



I recently ran a windows update to make sure everything was up to date.

It reset my screen saver to a default "Windows10" screen saver.

When I went to change it, I got this when I tried to choose a font:





I started following the steps to show my fonts and was greeted by this:





and:





I tried restoring defaults, checking and unchecking the boxes in various permutations, but nothing happened.


I checked both settings and control panel, etc, and so:





Now, before you start redirecting me to other "solutions" posted here, I have already tried these and all associated "fixes":


"All Fonts are Missing"


"Fonts Missing After Upgrade"


"Fonts Missing after update"


and I ran the options as shown to check and repair system health, etc:


"System file check SFC Scan and Repair System Files & DISM to fix things SFC cannot"


I have working fonts as you can see from the screencaps, so it's not that they are gone.

I have run the Troubleshooter: no good.

How can I get Windows10 to show me my fonts?

Disappearing Fonts

Alright some how...SOMETHING is erasing Fonts from my C:\Windows\Fonts directory....I have replaced about 15 Fonts! And random error's from Font's being eaten...by some Font monster.

Scanned for Viruses Clean
Malware Clean
Bad Sectors Clean
Vista being roshamboing me? *Nutkick :nutkick:

Anyone have any freaking idea WTF it is?

I can agree lol but I would like to know the culprit....its really annoying i have to pull font's off of XP constantly... *Bang Head :banghead:

EDIT: Ugh can someone send me the Arial font?

I found these steps in this forum from back in 2010:

Step 1:

I would suggest you to try these steps and check whether it helps in fixing your issue.

Open font settings by clicking on start, click on control panel, and then click on appearance and personalization, under fonts click on change font settings. And select the font size.

Step 2:

If you’re trying to change windows font size then please follow the steps below:

To change Windows fonts

1. Open Appearance Settings by clicking the Start button and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type window color, and then click Change window colors and
metrics.

2. In the Item list, click the part of Windows that you want to change the font for. For example, if you want to change the menu font, click Menu in the list. Then, make any of the following changes:

· In the Font list, click the font that you want to use.

· In the Size list, click the font size that you want.

· In the Color list, click the font color that you want.

3. Repeat these steps for each item that you want to make changes to, and then click OK.
