Windows 10: Windows Update broke my printers

On October 12, I shut down my computer. Microsoft updates installed. After the updates were done, none of my printers work. This affects physical printers as well as PDF printers. I have re-installed drivers. But whenever I try to print, I get a message that says "Your file could not be printed because of an error on XYZ Printer on e04."

I have uninstalled one of the two Updates that installed that day. The other is Security Update KB4577266. It apparently cannot be uninstalled.

How can I get my printers back?

I suggest you to try the below and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to update the drivers for printer and check.

• 
  Right click on the Start button from the desktop and select
  Device Manager.
  
• 
  Locate and expand Print queue.
  
• 
  Right-click on the printer driver
  that is listed and click Update driver software.
  

Step 2: I suggest you to run the printer troubleshooter from
“Fix printer problems”
and then check if this fixes the issue.

Windows 10 install broke network connections to printers & documents

bro67, am I understanding correctly that you are suggesting we purchase a NAS (Network Attached Storage) device? Or are you suggesting we get rid of half our printers? I'm not sure what you're suggesting as a fix for our situation, but buying new hardware/throwing away printers seems a bit over the top to fix something Windows 10 broke.

What and all steps have you tried so far?

Restart the computer and check.

Also, check for Windows updates.

I suggest you to run the Printer Troubleshooter and check if it helps.

  In Search window type Troubleshooting and click on it to open it.
  
• 
  Click on Hardware and Sound.
  
• 
  Then click on Printer to run the troubleshooter. Follow onscreen steps.
