  1. Onedrive app cannot access onedrive folder on c

    Hello,

I have searched the internet, but could not find a working solution for my problem.

This morning when i started up my computer everything was working fine including OneDrive.

When Windows 10 full booted, it came up that there was an update and that i needed to reboot.

After the reboot, directly an error came up that the OneDrive folder on C was not available and to check if the folder was moved or deleted.

Everything in the folder was there and i could access the files from explorer and all.

Then i went to OneDrive and it came with a message that there was no account linked to OneDrive and if i wanted to login.

I logged in with the correct email adress and password and then came the windows that the folder on the c-drive was on it's old location and to click next to add some other folder to share. When i clicked next it came with a message that it could not create the OneDrive folder on C and to choose another location.

What i don't understand is that the OneDrive app recognizes the standard folder on the C drive and than gives the message that it cannot create this folder and to choose another location.

I never asked to make this folder, but for some reason it is trying to create the OneDrive folder. So what is the problem ?

I have been using OneDrive for a long time without any problems and all over sudden it doesn't work anymore.

If somebody has experienced the same problem and has a solution for this, please post it here.

On internet i can login normally in OneDrive and all my folders/files are still there.

    See the pictures below:

Onedrive app cannot access onedrive folder on c 41fbbafa-b142-4858-bd70-1d97c34e73ab?upload=true.jpg

This is the regular screen after i login to my account. As you can see it gives the correct location for the standard OneDrive folder. Sorry for the language, i am dutch

Onedrive app cannot access onedrive folder on c 094f1dbe-1be9-4c35-8b13-ed46ea8dc8d4?upload=true.jpg

And when i click on next i get this message. It says that i cannot create the OneDrive folder on this location and to choose another one.

Again, i did not ask to create the folder, i just want to select it as the default OneDrive folder.

    Thanks,

    Gidion van Tilburg

    :)

  2. Windows 10 - OneDrive

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

Anyone know how to remove "OneDrive - For Business" from the Explorer navigation panel? I've tried just about every registry modification, and windows policy for "Onedrive" but they only seem to work for the consumer product, not for onedrive for business.

The onedrive product alone is so damn annoying and continues to load itself upon startup, even when it's explicitly remove from startup. It continues to automatically load and unload itself from within the startup folder... while I'm actively watching it load itself into the startup folder.

[/quote] Click to expand... Sorry, but I think you're confused and keep referring to Onedrive. There is a big difference between the consumer version of Onedrive business O365 version. I do not have the consumer version of Onedrive installed... it is Onedrive for Business. Also, this script is for "Onedrive" .... not Onedrive for Business. Thanks anyway.

OneDrive (for Business) built-in Windows 10 differences?

No thanks for providing a non-rant version. I ought to recruit about 20 million people and walk down to Microsoft headquarters and do them in. Tired of Microsoft forcing their childish development skills on the masses.
