Windows 10: PC Games On Windows 10 not working

I'm trying to get my old pc games to work on windows 10. Some work while others don't. Sometimes the ones that used to work one day no longer work the next. It's been really confusing how to set up each one. Been trying different things in compatibility mode and still nothing works. Below is my list of games:


Frogger 2 Swampy's Revenge-was able to install it with the disc but it gets through the cutscene in the beginning but when it loads to the screen to start playing the first level it freezes and game closes automatically.


Sim Theme Park-was able to install it with the disc and used to work with no errors. Now when I start the game I get this message "Error: Engine failed to initialize.


Midtown Madness 2- was able to install it with the disc and used to work but now it crashes and unable to load.


Lego Island-was able to install it with the disc was working but now when loading shows white box then closes itself.


Billy Blade Temple Of Time-install with the disc was working now it won't even load.


Army Men 2- installed from disc gives me this message "Armymen2.exe-entry point not found the procedure entry point open VxDhandle could not be located in the dynamic link library FSound.dll"


Army Men World War- have disc and it won't install so can't play it.


Savage-have disc and it won't install so can't play it


Apache Vs Havoc-have disc and was able to play but now it gave me this message "debug fatal error creating d3d device2DER_INVALIDOBJECT"


Microsoft Pandora's Box-used to work with disc but not anymore


Star Wars Episode 1 Gungan Frontier-was able to install but game won't load because of needs Quicktimes to work.


Microsoft Flight Simulator 2-install fine but when I try any of the loading missions message of Scenery loading then program closes itself


Other games don't install- Comanche 4, Cyclones,Sim Tower, Myst, Riven 5 discs


Can you help me by troubleshooting these issues like what setting to use. Or if you can create a patch that will make it run/work. Trying to fix this before thinking about rebuying the new version/updated reboot. Would like to find a solution or be able to point me in the right direction. I'm not the best with computers so need simple instructions to understand or a step by step guide.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Unlocked Realtek HD Audio Drivers Windows 7 & 8 (With Dolby Digital Live and DTS Interactive)

DTS supported natively by Windows 8/8.1 and it should work on windows 10 too just DDL require to unlock your driver .

 

Metro 2033 fails to work on windows 10!

I don't recall you mentioning any trouble shooting steps attempted though. At the very least, doing a quick search and checking threads like this very well may have solved it for you. It's listed as compatible on MS' list of games that work with W10 for a reason, because many if not most are able to get it running on W10. At least some level of workaround may be required, but some got it running without doing anything.
