Windows 10: Fresh install, added gsuite account to Windows Mail and it isn't getting any messages

Windows mail version Version 16005.13228.41011.0 on Windows 20H2. I have email using Google Gsuite. I added an account to Windows mail by choosing "Google". I entered my email and Google password in the Google dialog. I answered the MFA challenge on my phone, and it appeared to authenticate. But, there's no email, no access to the calendar. It's just blank. No errors or messaging. What can I do to fix this?

Windows Mail - Adding an imap account

Hello,

So, I want to link my work mail account to the desktop app and no matter what I always end up having a "Can't get mail" message below my account.

Step by step, here's what I'm doing :

1. Under Account, select Add Account
2. In the popup, choose Advanced setup and then Internet Mail (pop or pmap)
3. Fill in the form following my mail specifications
4. Hit Sign In
5. The account is added but "can't get mail"
6. Clicking it opens a window where I see Username and Password. The later being way longer than what I typed earlier.
7. If I change the Password it reset to what it was.

NB : I checked the infos I entered in step 3.

NB2 : Do I have to write the ports somewhere during config?

Any help would be very appreciated.

Mail App Error Message (0x80070425) when adding account in Windows 10

I have been able to add a GSuite email to the Mail App Account with a 2 step verification App password.

However when I try to add that same email address to the Calendar App I get this Error Code (0x80070425)

Any ideas on how to solve it? I have searched the forums but most are specific to Mail and many years ago.

It's strange that an account links to Mail App but not Calendar App.

error 0x8007042b when adding a Yahoo Mail account to MS Mail App

I went this route and added passwords for yahoo mail. I might try this method above to get gmail to buck up! *Tongue

@Bastet, this is probably what you were referring to the whole time.


YAHOO MAIL FIX
2FA needs to be enabled which it already was and just follow these steps below.

1. In yahoo mails account security, click on manage app passwords.




2. After selecting other app and entering the new app name in the text box




3. Now, in Windows 10 mail app, add this type of account.




4. In Windows 10 mail app, enter your details and the password generated by step 2.




Fully functional mail app again.



GMAIL FIX

Now similar steps to setting up Gmail. Here I'll only go through the Gmail steps as Windows Mail App setup is the exact same.
